The
John Wesley Tour
Tracing the Footsteps of John & Charles Wesley in Georgia
TOURS
BY BJ invites your group to visit Coastal Georgia and see locations where
John Wesley, founder of the Methodist movement,
and his brother Charles lived and worked during their time in
America’s thirteenth colony.
Through this tour you will understand the tremendous challenge faced
by John and Charles, how this experience in the New World influenced them
for the rest of their lives and how their lives and work influenced Coastal
Georgia and shaped the Methodist Church.
Accompanied
by our knowledgeable guides, you will learn about the primitive living
conditions faced by the men, women and children of this English colony.
At the same time you will experience the history and beauty of
Savannah, St. Simons Island and the region called the Colonial Coast.
Your
custom itinerary will trace many of the historic sites where the Wesleys are
known to have traveled. Methodist clergy will join your group to share their knowledge of the
Wesley’s time in Georgia.
For
further information you may contact the Savannah or Atlanta offices of TOURS
